What I Do

Helping groups talk about topics they’d rather not discuss.

I love having the conversations people would rather not have at work. Whether it’s talking about race, screen time boundaries, or management strategies for a library or classroom, I’ll help you tackle the issue. I will help your group make that crucial first step outside your comfort zone, toward better habits. My discussions and workshops will help you use your own stories and experiences to develop culturally responsive habits of thinking.

You are an expert in your own life.

Your experiences are a form of expertise, and they shape the lens you use to view the world. By sharing and listening to each others’ stories, we move toward better communication, and an increased ability to learn from and respect each others’ expertise.

Every workshop I facilitate is unique, because the content is shaped by the experiences and expertise of the group. I use stories to create each workshop’s unique character: your stories, stories from television, films, the web, podcasts, and other forms of media. Together, we will “read” these texts and make meaning through the lenses of our own experiences.
